| Mini Midler Entertainer Bio. I was born and raised in Swindon, Wilshire. Normal secondary education, then I fell into catering after leaving school. NowI live on the beautiful Island of Rhodes, Greece, hosting my shows around the island in some legendary venues and making wedding entertainment dreams come true for newly married couples.
How I got into singing: A friend dragged me to a bar that had karaoke, and I was hooked. During my nights out there, I became friends with many of the regulars and fellow singers. In flowed the compliments about my voice, which surprised me because my brother would tell me to shut up if I ever sang! I decided to get singing lessons to learn about techniques of singing properly. The talented Jules Hill declared that I was one of her best singers.
So, I decided I wanted to have a go at being in a band. A tribute agency and a band called The Flying Monk picked up my advert on a musician’s wanted website. The rock covers band, Flying Monks is named after a legend of the town Malmesbury, Wiltshire, Eilmer the Flying Monk. I became their lead singer doing gigs all around the southwest of the UK.
The Tribute agency discovered my voice sounded remarkably similar to Better Midler. Mini Midler was born. I would go on to tribute to Cher and Annie Lennox with the group. We sang all across the UK doing corporate events, weddings, pubs and clubs. Today of course I tribute to Feddie Mercury with Mini Mercury. The bar where I sang karaoke was an LGBT bar called The Mailcoach, so I got invited to attend many Swindon and Wilshire pride events over the years, including hosting stages and singing on the main stage myself and with my second rock band, The Usual Suspects. Tribute Singer Mini Mercury After passing the various tests and auditions I became employed by Mr Pete Jackson. He placed me in a few bars to host karaoke and to entertain with my own tribute show, which went down an absolute storm. We hosted a few Wedding receptions together. This is where Rhodes wedding DJ was born. I enjoyed making peoples most memorable day was filled with the best memories. Memories do matter, is something I pride myself in when I am entertaining. Weddings, Minioke and the tribute shows, I am always giving it my all. To receive many compliments of “You made my wedding/holiday” really is a driving force in what we love to do. The experience and knowledge I have gained since working with Pete and Mayhem entertainment. The science of sound, frequencies, tech knowledge and maintenance of equipment i.e. Mixing desks, effects, balanced levels etc. DMX light programming, creating stunning lighting effects. I manage corporate events to ensure that the entertainment element of their event ran smoothly. Also set up and test sound and lighting rentals for customers on vacation.
